Books With Single-Word Titles

Hello everyone! today I decided to do a Top Ten Tuesday post, its been a while since I practiced. This weeks is books with a single word titles. I had fun looking back at all my books and find some gems that I still haven’t read. But thanks to this list I got the itch to read some backlisted reads. Some like

As much fun as this was looking at all backlisted books, it was also a pain in the hiney lol. There are hardly any books that are single word titles. But these are some that I found that I still haven’t read yet. Have you read any of them? Which one should I start with?

The Court of Miracles by Kester Grant solely sounds like one of those books that you will put down and just smile. Les Misérables meets Six of Crows that along brings a smile to my face. I’m a big fan of Les Misérables and Six of Crows I can’t wait to read this one and go on this wondrous adventure.

Where Dreams Descend is the startling and romantic first book in Janella Angeles’ debut Kingdom of Cards fantasy duology where magic is both celebrated and feared, and no heart is left unscathed.

It’s been a long time since I’ve done a Waiting for Wednesday post, so let’s get started with one that I’m eagerly awaiting, Where Dreams Descend! 

A book surrounding a Circus, I have to say that Circus theme books are a very big hit with me, and I’m earnestly waiting for it. 

Much like the other books, I love to read about daring games of magical feats. And Where Dreams Descend,  promises just that. A fight for the headliner of the Conquering Circus, where nothing is what it seems and magicians go missing. Therefore what more can I ask from this specific story?

 There’s nothing more enticing than a mysterious read with a hint of romance.

Books I wish I read in 2019

So you would think being away for a year I would had read a whole bunch of books. But in reality I read nothing!🤷🏻‍♀️ When I say I took a year off to soul search, I was really soul searching.😄But now I’m back and I need to reminisce on all the books I missed. There were a lot of good books this past year that I wish I had gotten to. Let’s take a look at what would have been my most anticipated books of 2019 shall we?😍

The King of Scars I was crazy excited when I heard about it coming out. But for some reason or another I still didn’t get to it. Maybe its because I heard so so things about it or maybe it laziness 😆 haha. The Priory of the Orange Tree Was also another exciting book but just like King of Scars it also received not so great news, I especially heard there wasn’t enough Dragons and I need my Dragons. I’m I wrong about this two?

Aurora Rising and Wicked Saints is a totally different story. I have no reason to have not pick these up. I guess I was waiting for the second installment, which the second one to Aurora Rising has already came out. So its definitely pure laziness here😆 haha!

So many great books I missed.😱 I still hope that one day I’ll get the chance to read them, I have a habit of not reading blacklist books. But hoping I change that in 2020. Books I’m looking forward to during winter 2020(Fantasy Edition)

Ah why yes it’s 2020, a new decade, a new beginning and why not a new list of books!😍 Since I been gone for a while all these books that I’m featuring will also be new to me. I feel like a kid in a candy store right now. I can’t believe how many amazing books are coming out! I’m so excited and exhausted all in one go. jk😂 If I didn’t have tons of books on my TBR I sure as do now. Without further ado let’s check this list out together.

Exciting Winter Fantasy Books!

😍The one thing I noticed this season, is how many fantasy genre books there are. Maybe it’s me since I haven’t seen a lot of new releases in a while, I could be wrong. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Also is it me or is winter ❄️ the best time to read fantasy books?They always so much better in the winter don’t you agree? Hot coffee ☕️ with a nice fluffy blanket in front of a fireplace 🔥, what can you possibly want more?

Last but not least is Cassandra Clare’s new upcoming book. Who’s excited? I know I am. I love Historical fiction with a spin of Fantasy and this one is my most anticipated winter read of 2020.

It was fun looking at all the upcoming Fantasy books for winter of 2020. I’m definitely excited and totally missed researching books for my blog. Next I’ll do a book list of contemporary winter reads. since this was a blast. What books are you looking forward to this season? Happy 2020!

Hello everyone! Happy New Year! How have you been? Long time no see haha. I’ve missed all of you and of course this amazing community, so very much. If you still remember me 😆 (wave 👋 enthusiastically) I’m finally back online 😱yes, that’s right I been gone for about a year! I decided it was the perfect time to give this blog another round. I been revamping and with that coma the new and improved Fictional World Dreamer I’m super excited to be back and can’t wait to see you all again.

🥰For those of you that do know me You must be wondering what has happened to me. The short version is that I had a major break down in January’s of 2019. In short I had to take care of myself asap, it was the most scared of ever been. I let the internet world dictate my every emotion, move but also amongst other things. In doing so I let myself go and kept putting myself off and not take care of me. I’ve learned a valuable lesson on how important it is to take care of ourselves. It’s the number one thing we drop when life gets hectic.

🧘🏻‍♀️I truly needed to take care of my mental health, and that was and will always will be my 1st priority. I’m finally at a place in my life where I can say that I am comfortable and happy with. 😌There’s still up’s and down’s, but that’s to be expected. During my hiatus I did a lot of soul searching and one of the major changes in life is reconnection to my faith. which I’m so grateful for and thank God to be alive everyday of my life. 🙏🏼I also quit my job which was definitely one of the things that cause most of my stress and of course I canceled social media all together.🚫

❤️But the one thing that never changed though was the love I have for this community and how much I love and miss it. So I decided to come back with a must needed set of directive priorities 🔐of course. It’s going to feel different as a lot of things have changed. But it’s something I missed and I’m ready to restart. All in all, I can’t wait to visit all your blogs again and see how you all have been. I hope 2019 treated you all well🎆. I also hope you have a lovely and amazing rest of the year and may your new Year be full of adventures and a lot of love and Happiness for 2020.✨

This is the kind of book I have been wanting to read for a while. I love to read books where the characters pretend to date each other and then eventually fall in love😍 It’s my favorite trope and so, after reading the synopsis of Fake It Till You Break It , I immediately added it to my TBR!

Lost things, friendship & love – The Geography of Lost Things by Jessica Brody

Hello everyone, I hope you all have an amazing and wonderful day! Today I want to introduce you to one of my new all time favorite books, The Geography of Lost Things by Jessica Brody, a book that I honestly can’t wait to read again.

Here’s a mini synopsis:

One of the things Aly knows about her father is that he never loved her as much as he loves his 1968 Firebird convertible, that and he never keeps his promises to her and her mother and always leaves them behind to follow his all time favorite band Fear Epidemic. He always disappears. When she thinks she won’t hear of him again there’s a knock on her door that changes EVERYTHING.

Now, with a Firebird outside her house that her father left her after he passed away, the only thing she wants to do is to get rid of it and so she sells the car to help her mother pay the bank. The only thing she needs to do is drive the car to the person who wants to buy it, but for that she needs the help of the person she used to love and trust the most… Nico, her ex-boyfriend. 

Review:

For the last couple of weeks I have been looking to read fun books. I think this is the year I read more emotional books than last year and I wanted to read something different. And when I saw this book I just… well, I fell in love with the cover and the synopsis sounded amazing, I was intrigued and I knew I had to get it and I’m glad I got it.

There aren’t enough words to describe how much I loved this book! It’s the kind of story you enjoy from the beginning and you want to read more to know what happens next and at the same time, you want to read it slowly to not miss anything. The Geography of Lost Things is fun, swoony and special. There are TONS of beautiful and amazing quotes and I found myself marking the pages where I found them because I just loved them so much!

Don’t you love when you discover new characters? In this story we get to meet Aly and Nico. We get to understand why certain things happen like, how they met and eventually fell in love to the reason why the broke up. I loved to read when they were on the car, how there were awkward moments when they didn’t know what to say and how there were other times when they forgot about everything and just enjoyed the trip while listening to podcasts and music!

Aly had this list of rules with the intention of not falling for Nico again, of not remembering the night when they broke up but little by little, things changed between them. One of my favorite things about The Geography of Lost Things was the banter between Nico and Aly. They made me laugh SO MANY TIMES, while they are so different from each other, they still had things that made them perfect for each other. 

During this trip they met lots of strangers, they started to learn more things about them that they didn’t know, they learned how to let go and start over, to trust and to know that even when it seems that everything is falling a part, we aren’t alone.

The Geography of Lost Things is a beautiful story that I’m sure I’ll be reading soon, I hope you all like it when you read it! Have you heard about this book? Are you planning to read it? Please let me know in the comments below!
